ATI started Radeon HD 3870 X2 sales 26 January 2008 at a recommended price of $449. This is TeraScale architecture desktop card based on 55 nm manufacturing process and primarily aimed at gamers. 2x 0.5 GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1.8 GHz are supplied, and together with 2x 256 Bit memory interface this creates a bandwidth of 2x 57.7 GB/s.
