NVIDIA started GeForce GT 720M sales 1 April 2013. This is a Fermi architecture desktop card based on 28 nm manufacturing process and primarily aimed at office use. 2 GB of DDR3 memory clocked at 2 GHz are supplied, and together with 64 Bit memory interface this creates a bandwidth of 12.8 GB/s.

Compatibility-wise, this is MXM Module card attached via PCIe 2.0 x16 interface. Its power consumption is at 18-23 Watt.

It provides poor gaming and benchmark performance at 3.88 percent of a leader's which is NVIDIA Quadro P6000.
