ATI started FireGL X1-256 sales 1 July 2002. This is Rage 8 architecture desktop card based on 150 nm manufacturing process and primarily aimed at designers. 256 MB of DDR memory clocked at 0.62 GHz are supplied, and together with 256 Bit memory interface this creates a bandwidth of 19.84 GB/s.
Compatibility-wise, this is single-slot card attached via AGP 8x interface. No additional power connector is required, and power consumption is at 37 Watt.
