NVIDIA started Quadro FX 5500 SDI sales 20 April 2006 at a recommended price of $6,999. This is Curie architecture desktop card based on 90 nm manufacturing process and primarily aimed at designers. 1 GB of GDDR3 memory clocked at 1.01 GHz are supplied, and together with 256 Bit memory interface this creates a bandwidth of 32.32 GB/s.

Compatibility-wise, this is triple-slot card attached via PCIe 1.0 x16 interface. Its manufacturer default version has a length of 229 mm. 1x 6-pin power connector is required, and power consumption is at 104 Watt.
