NVIDIA started A100 PCIe sales 22 June 2020. This is an Ampere architecture desktop card based on 7 nm manufacturing process and primarily aimed at gamers. 40 GB of HBM2e memory clocked at 2.4 GB/s are supplied, and together with 5120 Bit memory interface this creates a bandwidth of 1,555 GB/s.
Compatibility-wise, this is dual-slot card attached via PCIe 4.0 x16 interface. Its manufacturer default version has a length of 267 mm. 1x 8-pin power connector is required, and power consumption is at 250 Watt.
